Blog-Wise Wednesday.2

ShiftEach Wednesday here at C Note’s, I link to a guest post that I believe will challenge you in a good way.  I know these writings have already made me wiser in my God journey.    Be sure to visit the selected site, and leave a comment so they know you dropped by.  Then come back - we want to know your thoughts as we discuss the post here!

This week I’m highlighting Think Again, a post from Bob Hamp at his Think Differently blog.

In his own words, Bob has  ”the greatest job in the world.  I work for a large non-denominational charismatic church in Southlake, Texas.  I am in charge of what we call Freedom Ministry.  We want to help people encounter God, as we believe that this restores people to their created identity and purpose.  Their factory settings as I like to say”.   “I am not a particularly religious guy for a pastor, I just want to help people become who they are”.

Bob’s messages always challenge me to – yes – think differently.  I’m thinking they may have the same effect on you.

Repentence…changing the way you see and perceive…using the senses that the Spirit of God provides, Intuition, wisdom, revelation, faith…to take in and respond to the world around you, instead of relying on the physical senses alone.

The Spirit of God shows us things that we would never see or perceive in the flesh, in the natural. Giving us glimpses of the way God sees and perceives the world.

    GOOD STUFF!

  2. He! Hee! Freedom Ministries is what I clock in to make happen each week. Ps. Bob is always challenging us to think differently. Pastor Bob, What a great analogy or explanation about using physical responses vs using a different set of responses beyond the physical with regard to repentance. I particularly related to the following lines:
“Repentance is about using a set of senses beyond the physical. Intuition, wisdom, revelation, faith (yeah, you remeber, the assurance of things NOT SEEN!)”
Well, I’ve been blessed to have acquired a sense beyond the physical that truly gives me comfort and most importantly ‘ASSURANCE’ that God is there. That particular sense is ‘FAITH’. There was a time when I did not have “FAITH’, but once I acquired it I was able to see more clearly and repent. To be honest, I never really looked at it that way before now. Thank You
